On May 10, 2019, Governor Bill Lee signed a bill into law that waives the fee for Lifetime Carry Permits for those that serve at least 10 years as a Law Enforcement Officer.  To view the Bill, please click on the link provided.

    Executive Director Jim Pasco:

  • Contacted by Zach D. Fuentes, Deputy Chief of Staff to the President of the United States, to follow up on issues discussed in 25 June White House meeting regarding FOP priorities;

  • Had further contact with R. Alex Acosta, Secretary of U.S. Department of Labor, regarding prisoner re-entry training and jobs program being developed by Department of Labor;

  • Spoke with Steven H. Cook, Associate Deputy Attorney General, regarding H.R. 5682/S. 2795, the “FIRST STEP Act” and prison reform;

  • Spoke with Thomas E. Brandon, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) regarding 3D gun issue.

    Congress remained in recess this week.
